Phonography / Preview

January 19, 2012

I was supposed to upload these TWO BRAND NEW songs yesterday, as part of my next EP preview, but they had to wait until today, since yesterday the online world was on strike against SOPA and PIPA (which I obviously don’t support).

If you want to know more about all that, go here: http://americancensorship.org/infographic.html then sign the petition at this link: https://www.google.com/landing/takeaction/ if you don’t want the internet to become a 1984-like world of repression and censorship!

That being stated, I chose to upload these two songs because I feel they best represent where Fragments of Winter is at right now. They both were originally composed for the dance production “Chronicles of A Love Junkie” and will be included in the next EP, “Phonography“, scheduled to be released…. at some point during 2012. The album will be characterized by a phantasmagoric atmosphere; with the dazzling lights and bold colours of Skyrockets softening up, becoming pale and blurry; sounds and noises getting darker but still full of hope.

2011

December 11, 2011

Has been a year filled with music.
Other than working on scoring two american dance productions (Chronicles of a Love Junkie by Michael T. Roberts and Grownup Things by Cassandra Cotta) and writing new songs for the next Fragments Of Winter EP, I’ve also enjoyed experimenting with rearranging and producing covers, taking care not only of the music, but of the vocals as well.

“You” is the fifth piece coming from this project.

If you’d like to listen to the rest, please check out my second bandcamp page at: http://tristanirvine.bandcamp.com where you can also download the songs for free.
